ABOUT US

The Lockport City School District is committed to equity, the success of every student, and creating a positive learning environment for all students that is equitable, inclusive, and focused on the whole student.

Our Mission

We believe: All people can learn. Schools create conditions for success academically, socially, emotionally, physcially, and aesthetically. Teaching and learning are the shared responsibilities of home, school, and community. Our mission is to assure comprehensive learning for all so that each person will be a lifelong learner.

Our Vision

We believe that through our use of technology students educational needs can be supported at the speed of learning. The Lockport City School District’s primary focus in our use of technology is to enhance academic performance but technology is also used to run the business of the school district, create a safer environment, protect student information and safeguard one’s privacy. It is important to open and expand new avenues of learning in this age of instant communication and instant information and expose students to a variety of technologies they may encounter in work and life. This includes emerging STEM tools and new ways to communicate and present ideas while protecting the district from potential cyberthreats. Student success will be recognized with measurable results and decisions will be based on data collected and analysed in a variety of ways. Students will have equitable access to a variety of opportunities for enrichment based on need, meaningful skill building when necessary, and immediate opportunities beyond their grade level expectations.
