ABOUT US

The School of Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is committed to realizing the transformative power of education, and — in turn — is redefining what it means to educate. Education has the power to break down barriers, lift up individuals, and empower communities to rise and thrive. To that end, we inspire educators to lead; to think creatively, act with passion, and strive toward equity for all.

Recently ranked No. 17 among public schools of education, the School of Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill offers highly effective graduate and post-baccalaureate degrees and programs. Our faculty prepare leaders in k-12 education, public schools, higher education, educational innovation, policy and in public service. They also pursue rigorous, practice-oriented research, and provide

important service. We are a community of scholars and practitioners who are deeply committed to educational opportunity for all. We hope that you will join us in our efforts to propel the world forward.

We will be recruiting at the October 26, 2022 Virtual Teacher Recruitment Fair, and invite you to visit our representatives.

DIVERSITY & EQUITY STATEMENT

Striving towards equity for all

As a School, we are committed to bringing our collective expertise in research and teaching, as well as our programming to prepare educators and researchers who work proactively to address systemic inequities and white supremacy in education and in our society. Together, we advance and celebrate diversity, fight discrimination, foster inclusion, and advocate for equity in every aspect of the lives of all members of our communities, especially those directly and indirectly affected by violence and racially motivated acts.
