ABOUT US

Cascades Academy is an independent pre-k through 12th-grade day school located in the beautiful mountain town of Bend, Oregon. The school was founded in 2003 and resides on an award-winning 39-acre campus located on the Deschutes River.

The Cascades Academy upper school program consists of an exciting academic curriculum that combines both traditional and hands-on experiential learning methods. Both the fall and spring trimesters are approached in a place-based thematic format, with each culminating in an expedition to the studied region. The goal of the Cascades Academy upper school program is to create lifelong learners, critical, independent thinkers and socially responsible individuals who are ready for the years ahead of them, both in college and beyond.

OUR DIVERSITY & EQUITY

Cascades Academy seeks to create a safe, nurturing community where we honor our unique selves, embrace the diverse perspectives and backgrounds of others, and promote social responsibility both within the school and beyond.

OUR TEACHER RECRUITMENT

An important part of creating a diverse school culture is found in the formation of a safe learning environment that embraces free and open inquiry. To that end, all teachers are committed to open discourse throughout their curriculum in a manner that allows students to share alternative views in a respectful environment.

Cascades Academy is an engaged, vibrant community that weaves challenging academics with experiential learning to inspire socially responsible individuals ready for a diverse and changing world.
