ABOUT US

Located in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, Beaver Country Day School is an innovative school at the forefront of education. At Beaver, we provide an immersive and dynamic environment that keeps the educational experience rich, relevant, and fun. This is what keeps both students and teachers challenged and passionate.

OUR DIVERSITY & EQUITY

One way schools can do targeted and effective work with students and families of underrepresented populations is through a Distributive Leadership Model.

At Beaver, our diversity director heads the global history department, teaches upper school English and middle school percussion, greets people at the front desk, coaches field hockey and baseball, advises sophomores and sixth graders, directs the spring musical, leads each division, fosters positive alumni relationships, and interviews prospective students.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are important aspects of every position.

OUR TEACHER RECRUITMENT

Our teachers are mentors, experts, collaborators, and motivators, dedicated to each and every student reaching their potential. We challenge our students to be knowledgeable, savvy, creative and confident leaders.

Our students use state of the art technology in everything that they do – not only as a tool for research and discovery, but also as platforms for expression, communication, and creativity. Being tech savvy and comfortable with learning new technology to integrate into the learning experience at Beaver is critical.

We are deeply committed to creating an inclusive community.

We recognize the unique experiences some underrepresented students may have at independent schools, and we work diligently to promote success for all students.
