The College of Education (COE) at San Diego State University continues to maintain a standard of excellence it has demonstrated for more than a century. Our commitment is to prepare teachers, school administrators, counselors, community college faculty and leaders, performance improvement/ technology professionals, and community service professionals to provide the highest quality learning environments to ensure student and client success and achievement through our teaching, research, and service.

COE continued its rise in the 2021 U.S. News & World Report rankings, rating No. 50 among all graduate education schools nationwide, No. 37 among public universities. Its Online Education Master’s Program (No. 8) and Rehabilitation Counseling M.S. Program (No. 4) rank among the nation’s best.
