About Arcadia University

Founded in 1853, Arcadia University is Philadelphia’s global university and a pioneer in international education. It is a top-ranked private university offering bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees.

 

Grad School Registration
  1. A graduate application, including personal statements, to be completed online.
  2. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a recommended GPA of 3.0 or better.
  3. One official transcript from each college, university or professional school attended. Transfer credits included on a transcript must include grades earned; if not, an official transcript from the original school must be submitted. Transcripts must be sent from the issuing school in a sealed envelope and contain the appropriate signatures and seals to be considered official.
  4. Two letters of recommendation. The letters must be of a professional, not personal nature. If the student has been out of school five years or fewer, at least one letter must come from a professor.

Our Programs

Arcadia University School of Education’s mission is to ensure students and practitioners engage in rigorous and personally meaningful experiences that cultivate creative and critical understandings related to the processes of teaching and learning. We are committed to providing philosophical, theoretical, technological and instructional frameworks to promote exemplary inclusive practice, scholarly inquiry and social justice advocacy across diverse educational contexts.

 

The Master of Education degree program focuses on educational processes in either general education or specialized areas. The majority of courses are taken in education, with up to 9 credits taken in another discipline when appropriate to the program. Students may also choose to pursue Pennsylvania Instructional Certification or Administrative Certification while earning the degree.  

 

Advance your leadership as a practitioner-scholar committed to strategic inquiry in the field of education and related services. Receive mentorship from faculty committed to student engagement and ongoing research and practice in settings serving students, educators, families, and communities. Engage in a supportive cohort model while you attend conveniently scheduled classes that meet one night a week to allow for coursework completion in three years.
