Our Mission

WhO WE ARE

Our mission is to develop innovators who envision and create a better world and this is at the heart of everything we do at camp. We believe that kids who learn to explore and fail with courage—the essence of innovation—are happier, more creative and more confident when faced with life’s challenges. Encouraged by the most energetic and caring staff you can imagine, our campers are guided through “Only at Galileo” art, science, engineering, culinary, and design projects. Cap it off with water play, camp traditions, songs and skits and that’s the Galileo magic. All at your neighborhood school.

HUMAN RESOURCES

Looking for amazing teachers

Founded in 2002, Galileo operates summer day camp programs at 50+ locations throughout the Bay Area, SoCal, and Chicago. Being a Galileo Camp Director means joining an organization that is a model of innovative learning, with a company-wide commitment to camper inclusion and broadening our impact.

At Galileo, we seek to cultivate an inclusive, vibrant and diverse community of innovators—divergent thinkers who bring various experiences and viewpoints to the table. We believe this is critical for achievement of our mission and, by extension, that these practices positively impact the world. We strongly encourage members of underrepresented groups and people of diverse backgrounds to apply.
