James Rhyu, Chief Executive Officer, joined Stride in June 2013 and became CEO in January 2021. With over 20 years of financial management experience across various global industries, he works with company leaders to expand Stride’s market reach and enhance customer experience. Before becoming CEO, he served as Stride’s President of Corporate Strategy, Marketing, and Technology, Chief Financial Officer, and President of Product and Technology. 

Prior to Stride, Mr. Rhyu was CFO and Chief Administrative Officer of Match.com, overseeing human resources, legal, IT, operations, and international product development. He also held senior financial roles at Dow Jones & Company, Sirius XM Radio Inc., and Graftech International. Mr. Rhyu began his career with Ernst & Young LLP in the United States and South America. 

Mr. Rhyu holds a bachelor’s degree from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from London Business School.
