Dr. Stephen Bigelow has over 25 years of experience in education, starting as a teacher in South Lyon, Michigan, and advancing to roles such as principal and superintendent. As Superintendent of Capac Community Schools, he increased course offerings, created a virtual school, and implemented strategic plans. Currently, as Superintendent of Bay City Public Schools, he has improved the district’s fiscal status, introduced new educational programs, and restructured its framework.

Dr. Bigelow holds a Ph.D. in Education from Oakland University, a Master of Public Administration from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. He is recognized for his commitment to student achievement, teacher training, and curricular innovation, and serves in various educational and community leadership roles.
