Dr. Carol Cavanaugh has a PhD in Educational Studies from Lesley University, with a focus on secondary writing instruction. She earned her Master of Arts in Teaching and Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Latin from Boston University. Prior to becoming Hopkinton’s Superintendent, Dr. Cavanaugh held roles including Assistant Superintendent and Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment for the Uxbridge Public Schools. She has also served as an Assistant Principal, English Department Chair, and teacher of English and Latin at Westborough High School and Auburn High School. Additionally, Dr. Cavanaugh is an adjunct faculty member for Worcester State and Lesley University.
