Crystal L. Hill, Ed.D., holds the esteemed position of superintendent at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS), overseeing a vast educational network comprising 184 schools and serving a student population of 141,000, supported by close to 20,000 dedicated employees. Notably, Dr. Hill is the first African-American female to assume this leadership role within the district. With an impressive 26-year career in the field of education, she brings extensive experience and insights to her role. Dr. Hill has distinguished herself through her academic pursuits as well, earning a doctorate in educational leadership from Gardner-Webb University.
