DIVERSITY & EQUITY STATEMENT
•At Kent State University, we define diversity as differences that come in a variety of socioeconomic levels, opinions, abilities, experiences, cultures, races, ethnicities, genders, gender identities and expressions, national origins, religions, languages, appearances, personalities, and many other types of human distinctions between individuals and groups. Diversity is valued as a universal approach to increasing the quality of education. Diversity is the core principle, which in its broadest sense incorporates equity and inclusive excellence. Our mission is to recruit, retain, and develop students from underrepresented and diverse populations to help them successfully navigate the college process from admission through graduate school and career achievement.

OUR SCHOLARSHIPS & FELLOWSHIPS
- Haywood Doe Consulting Co. Scholarship- Scholarship for a KSU student enrolled in any Graduate program in the College of Education, Health and Human Services. The recipients must have a final minimum undergraduate GPA or 3.5 or higher upon acceptance into the graduate program. First preference will be given to underrepresented minority students.
- Margaret J. Forsythe Graduate Scholarship in Education- Scholarship for a graduate student majoring in Education, with financial need, preference given to a female student.
- Russ Wilson Graduate Scholarship- A scholarship for a Kent State University graduate student enrolled in any major in the College of Education, Health and Human Services and must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
