ABOUT

Dr. LaTanya D. McDade became the Superintendent for Prince William County Public Schools on July 1, 2021, making her the first woman and first African American to hold this position. Dr. McDade has 23 years of experience in the Chicago Public Schools and has held various leadership roles. In Prince William County, she introduced Vision 2025 Launching Thriving Futures, a four-year plan to ensure every student graduates with the knowledge and skills for success. Dr. McDade is dedicated to improving education and the lives of all children with a focus on equity.
