Dr. Aaron Spence life’s work and passion is educating young people. He firmly believes that education is key to changing lives and communities. As a leader in Texas, Virginia, and North Carolina, he has improved student achievement, increased access to challenging coursework, and developed modern curricula. He has also focused on critical-thinking skills and innovative teaching practices to create engaging learning experiences. Additionally, he has experience in budgeting, staffing, policy creation, and similar functions. He is known for his strong communication skills and clear vision for student, district, and community success. He is prepared to tackle the challenges facing K-12 education, including meeting the requirements of ESSA, addressing the diverse student body, and adapting to the rapidly changing world.
