ABOUT US

Established in 1905, the Florida State University College of Education is the oldest College of Education in Florida, having provided education to the best and the brightest for well over a century. Our history is entwined with that of Tallahassee and we are proud of our heritage and the contributions our distinguished alumni have made all over the world.

As storied as our past is, we remain focused on our vision for the future. Every day, faculty and students work toward breaking new ground in the field of education. From implementing innovative teaching methods to affecting educational policy and legislation, our faculty and their research are forging the future of education.

Our four academic departments are home to undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs in over 35 fields of study. These programs will prepare you for positions in K-12 education, colleges and universities, sports, vocational centers, and organizations that provide counseling services, recreational services, athletic training, and instructional design.

We will be recruiting at the October 5, 2021 Virtual Teacher Recruitment Fair, and invite you to visit our representatives.
