About Madison Metropolitan School District

We stand by all of our students, staff and families

We are a school district that values and celebrates diversity unequivocally. We are proud to be home to a beautiful population of students, families and staff of different races, faiths, national origins, immigration status, political viewpoints, abilities, sexual orientation and gender identity. Every student and family is a valued member of our community.

All students and families, regardless of immigration status, are important members of our community and we are committed to ensuring that they are always welcome and safe in our schools. We want to remind everyone of the resources available on our website.

OUR GOALS

After making major gains and setting a strong foundation through its first strategic framework, the district is now embarking on it’s new, updated Strategic Framework, aimed at transformational change. That strategy starts with three goals: that all students achieve academically, that all students and adults thrive in positive school climates and that African American children and youth excel. We are committed to anti-racism and Black Excellence, and we are on the move to make a difference for our children.

We know this vision doesn’t come to life without dynamic leaders in every school. For more information on our Administrator and Teaching positions, screening and selection process please visit us at hr.madison.k12.wi.us
