Why is the Oceanside Unified School District an Ideal Workplace?
The Oceanside Unified School District is one of San Diego County’s most dynamic school systems. There is a strong focus on students and the development of exemplary instructional programs.

OUSD works with universities and site administrators to place student teachers with exemplary OUSD teachers.

Universities wishing to place student teachers with cooperating teachers in our district should contact us directly.

Teacher Induction, formerly BTSA,  is a state-funded program co-sponsored by the California Department of Education (CDE) and the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).

The program engages preliminary credentialed teachers in a job-embedded formative assessment system of support and professional growth.  Teacher Induction programs are locally designed and implemented in accordance with the Standards of Quality and Effectiveness for Professional Teacher Induction Programs and aligned to the California Standards for the Teaching Profession.

Currently, Oceanside Unified works in partnership with the San Diego County Office of Education for it’s Teacher Induction Program.

Each and every employee is a valuable resource to the District. That is why the District is committed to providing employees with the safe work environment you expect. However, we all share the responsibility for promoting a safety culture and we all share accountability to value safe work practices and the safety programs that are put into place.
