OUSD works with universities and site administrators to place student teachers with exemplary OUSD teachers.

tEACHER INDUCTION
Teacher Induction, formerly BTSA, is a state-funded program co-sponsored by the California Department of Education (CDE) and the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
The program engages preliminary credentialed teachers in a job-embedded formative assessment system of support and professional growth. Teacher Induction programs are locally designed and implemented in accordance with the Standards of Quality and Effectiveness for Professional Teacher Induction Programs and aligned to the California Standards for the Teaching Profession.
Currently, Oceanside Unified works in partnership with the San Diego County Office of Education for it’s Teacher Induction Program.
