DIVERSITY in Ed to Offer New Online Network to Link Schools to Teacher Candidates
Sugar Land, TX—On August 1, 2019, DIVERSITY in Ed Magazine & Online Service launches an updated online network for schools, school districts, administrators, and teachers looking for employment. The site builds off of DIVERSITY in Ed’s long-standing commitment to linking educators from diverse backgrounds with schools looking to hire teachers.
A minority owned business whose offerings also include a nationally distributed magazine and a job board, DIVERSITY in Ed will now offer employer profiles to include information on a school district’s diversity and equity initiatives, including recruitment efforts and resources for new teacher hires. Says Trina Edwards, Publisher of Diversity in Ed, “the purpose of our new online profiles is to help schools and school districts showcase their unique appeal to attract more candidates of diverse backgrounds.”
DIVERSITY in Ed will also offer free consultations for any schools or school districts interested in learning more about DIVERSITY in Ed’s role as a diversity expert in the field of teacher recruitment and retention. Joining the online network and job board is a fee-based service, and users will receive support in setting up their profiles. DIVERSITY in Ed’s team will pull together information on the school, including logo, photos, mission and vision statements, as well as non-discrimination statements, contact info, plus unlimited job postings.
Edwards notes that not only is the service great for progressive schools and districts looking to actively recruit teachers from diverse backgrounds, but DIVERSITY in Ed can also support employers who need to comply with diversity hiring mandates and aren’t sure where to start. Says Edwards, the new motto of DIVERSITY in Ed is, quite simply: “We know diversity!”
