Dr. Theresa R. Rouse is the Superintendent of Joliet Public Schools District 86, a role she has held since 2016. With over 30 years of experience in education, she is known for her leadership in advancing equity and academic excellence within diverse student populations. Dr. Rouse holds a Doctor of Education degree from Northern Arizona University, where she focused on educational leadership and administration. Under her guidance, District 86 has implemented innovative programs aimed at improving student achievement and fostering community engagement. Dr. Rouse is also a strong advocate for integrating technology in the classroom to enhance learning experiences. She has been recognized for her efforts in promoting bilingual education and addressing the needs of English Language Learners. Her commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all students has made her a respected leader in the field of education.
