The student body represents 114 different countries speaking 79 different languages. Our district covers 608 square miles, with more than 217,919 residents. This county features the oldest city in the United States, St. Augustine, and is lined by miles of beaches from (Summer Haven to Ponte Vedra) on its eastern border and the St. Johns River on its western border.

OUR ESOL Program
St. Johns County School District strives to provide the necessary support to English language learners in order to promote English language acquisition and academic achievement.
The goal of the ESOL Program is to ensure that all students entering St. Johns County Public Schools, with varying levels of English proficiency, receive comparable and comprehensible instruction. This instruction helps students to develop communicative and academic skills necessary for meeting national, state, and district educational standards.

About Us
The St. Johns County School District (SJCSD) is dedicated to enhancing the learning experience for all students. Classroom instruction is based on the Florida Standards and best instructional practices coupled with high expectations leading to higher student performance. Character Education is part of our culture and is supported though out our schools and in our community. Ongoing professional development and Professional Learning Communities (PLC) allow teachers continuous growth in their art of teaching.
